The image fades in amid the fireworks erupting overhead as Michael Jamborgh stands in the ring, soaking in the immense pop from the crowd. One the pyros settle, Michael looks around the arena, a grin plastered to his face. "Alright, ladies and gentlemen, please settle down. Now, if I may direct your attention to the video wall, there is someone who would like a moment of everyone's time." Michael states, as the camera pans over. The video wall clicks on, and the image upon it shows a beach, lined with palm trees. After a moment, the MWL World Television Champion, CK One, steps into view to a roar from the crowd. CK grins and gestures for silence from the crowd.
"Folks, I'm sorry to say, but I need a short vacation from MWL. Don't get me wrong, Michael's been great, and looking out for me, but I need a bit of a breather. So, back to you, Michael!" CK states, pointing into the camera. He grins and laughs as a woman appears behind him. "Yeah, baby, hang on..." CK mutters as the image fades. The camera pans back around to show Michael, who is laughing to himself.
"Well, ladies and gentlemen, CK has opted to vacate the TV title so that it may continue to be defended in his absence. So tonight, we will begin a tournament to determine the new Television Champion. If I may direct your attention to the video wall, you will see the tournament bracket has already been prepared... And now, without further ado, ladies and gentlemen, I give you the MWL World Television Championship Tournament's first round!" Michael announces, climbing out of the ring.
Match 1: MWL TV Title Tournament - Vince Marshall v. Nathan Rozman
- Vince Marshall pinned Nathan Rozman after a backbreaker at 9:46.
Match 2: MWL TV Title Tournament - Riley Taylor v. Mumbo Man
- Riley Taylor pinned Mumbo Man with the Riles Clash at 4:37.
The camera approaches Vince Marshall backstage, who is pacing back and forth, phone to his ear. "Luria, I told you!" Vince growls. "No. NO." Vince continues, heaving a sigh. He then hangs up the phone and sighs again. "Augh...never listens..."
Match 3: MWL TV Title Tournament - The Scourge v. Erik Range
- Erik Range pinned the Scourge after a Sideswipe at 5:41.
Vince Marshall stands outside of Norihito Takahashi's locker room and knocks on the door. "Norihito. NORIHITO!" Vince shouts, pushing the door open. Vince steps in, though the camera remains where it is, afraid to look after the last time Norihito had been found in his locker room. "Damn it, Norihito! This is no time for phone sex!"
"W...WHY NO~OT?!" Norihito whines.
"Match! Now!" Vince barks. Within a moment, Norihito flies out of his locker room, passing the phone to Vince as he goes, and rushing off down the hall.
Match 4: MWL TV Title Tournament - Norihito Takahashi v. Bryan Krash
- Norihito Takahashi pinned Bryan Krash after a vertical suplex at 16:36.
"Alright, ladies and gentlemen!" Michael Jamborgh announces, climbing into the ring as Norihito and Bryan make their exits. "On the next Ignition, we continue the tournament with the following bouts. Vince Marshall will do battle with Riley Taylor while Erik Range will face off against Norihito Takahashi. And now, everyone, let's continue on to tonight's main event!"
Main Event: MWL Women's World Championship - Ladder: (C) Sarah Alyssa v. Melissa Rez v. Kimberly Bailleaux
- Melissa Rez climbed the ladder and retrieved the belt at 8:42 to win the match and the MWL Women's World Championship.
