As the opening video concludes, Michael Jamborgh appears on the stage, walking toward the ring, the MWL North American Championship belt in his hands. He climbs into the ring and holds the belt high overhead, before handing it off the the referee behind him, and grabbing a microphone. The crowd hushes as Michael begins to pace around the ring. "Ladies and gentlemen, before I begin, allow me to bring those of you who have missed some of the more recent events up to speed. It has been come time since anyone has heard from B-4, and his manager, Phoenix Angel, has had little contact with the promotion outside of appearing for her matches. Now this poses a problem, since she is our main contact with the former North American Champion. So, as of MWL Onslaught 2009, the North American Championship was vacated.
"And now, ladies and gentlemen, a new champion shall be crowned here, tonight! So, here is the rundown on the present situation. In just a few moments, we are going to have a tag team matchup. The winners of the bout will go on to the main event tonight to face each other for the vacant MWL North American Championship!" Michael announces as the crowd roars their approval.
"...And I suppose you want to know the names of the four participants in this qualifying match, eh?" Michael asks, as the crowd roars again. "Well then, let's get them out here!"
Match 1: North American Contendership - Anthony Jacobs & Kairez v. Lino & Catastrophe
- Lino pinned Kairez after a neckbreaker at 15:01.
Match 2: MWL-CAW Championship - (C) Viper v. Cain
- Viper forced Cain to submit to a boston crab at 17:26 to retain the MWL-CAW Championship.
"Alright, this is our third meeting, now..." Michael hums, looking to the suit-and-tie man across from him.
"I am well aware, Mister Jamborgh. I promise I shall not take much of your time on this evening." The man hisses.
"Alright, now I understand you have a list of names, for me...?" Michael asks.
"Indeed I do." The suit-and-tie man nods. "Here you are." The man hands Michael a few sheets of paper, which he quickly looks over. "Let's see, don't recognize this one... Whoa! Pat?! ... Steel?!" The suit-and-tie man grins as Michael continues. "Alright, I'm convinced. Except for the rookie."
"I'm afraid my talents are a package deal, Michael. It is all of them, or none." The man hisses in response.
Match 3: Yugo Ryan v. Shane Warner
- Shane Warner pinned Yugo Ryan after a Big Brother at 7:13.
Match 4: Alex DuVry v. Chad Vritska (w/ Maverick Miller)
- Alex DuVry pinned Chad Vritska after a moonsault at 9:21.
As Chad Vritska rolls out of the ring, Alex DuVry points to Maverick Miller, then gestures toward his waist. Alex then holds up six fingers and nods, a smirk crossing his face. Maverick looks back as he helps Chad up the entryway, before shaking his head and continuing onward.
Main Event: MWL North American Championship - Hardcore: Lino v. Catastrophe
- Lino pinned Catastrophe after a belly-to-back suplex at 7:10 to win the vacant MWL North American Championship.
As Lino stands over Catastrophe, the fireworks display overhead erupts as the referee hands Lino the MWL North American Championship. Lino holds the belt up with one hand as the fireworks continue raining down, as the show fades once again to a close.
