The opening video package concludes with a final shot of Yugo and Catastrophe glaring at each other, and the image fades to that of Michael Jamborgh's office. A knock on the door rings out, and Michael looks up from a stack of papers on his desk. "Come in." Michael calls. The door opens, and in steps Lino. "Oh, my, Lino. To what do I owe the surprise?"
"Michael, please, you can't let the Last Man Standing match between Yugo and Catastrophe go on tonight!" Lino pleads.
"Lino, I'm not sure if you're fully aware of how much of a pain you and the rest of the X have been to me over the past year, and I'm sure I'll sound like a sadistic maniac in saying this, but I'm getting a lot of joy out of witnessing the undoing of the X, especially between two of its core members. With the in-fighting, the loss of Scott Froelich and Spike Norton, it's a wonder the lot of you haven't killed each other, yet." Michael grins.
"PLEASE, Michael!" Lino continues. "I'm begging you!" Michael looks away, scoffs, then after a moment, heaves a sigh.
"Fine, you win. Last Man Standing 4 is cancelled, BUT! Know this, Lino. Yugo and Catastrophe WILL still have a match, tonight. But you get your wish. Now, go on, you have a match, soon." Michael instructs. Lino nods and makes his exit while Michael leans his head on his arm. A grin creeps across his face after a moment. "Ah ha... I've got it!"
Match 1: MWL-CAW Contendership - Lino v. Levithan
- Levithan pinned Lino after a European uppercut at 15:18.
Match 2: MWL North American Championship - (C) B-4 v. Cain
- B-4 pinned Cain after a leg drop at 16:46 to retain the MWL North American Championship.
The video wall clicks to life, showing Michael Jamborgh seated in his office. "Ladies and gentlemen, you have my sincerest apologies when I say that Last Man Standing 4 will not be taking place, tonight. However, do not worry, as in its place, we will still be having Yugo Ryan and Catastrophe going head-to-head, but now they will clash in an 'I Quit' match!" Michael states. He nods at the positive crowd reaction at the trade. "Aah, but that's not all! Later on, we'll have a special surprise before the match. Now, without further ado, let us continue MWL Uprising 2008, shall we?" The video wall fades out as the entrances for the next bout begin.
Match 3: Tag Team Contendership - HT5: Canada's Best v. CTHD v. Asian Persuasion
- Allan Martel pinned Tiananman after a Slam of the Ancient Mariner at 6:22.
Match 4: MWL-CAW Championship - (C) Kairez v. Anthony Jacobs
- Anthony Jacobs forced Kairez to submit to a boston crab at 5:21 to win the MWL-CAW Championship.
As the closing bell rings, the arena lights die out and the eerie music kicks in. Once again, the red light kicks on, revealing the Brotherhood in the ring, surrounding the new champion. AJ looks around nervously, ready for their attack, belt in hand. The three of them begin to advance, as Free Radical rushes to the ring. The Brotherhood scatters as Nick and Jim both take wild swings at the members. Nicholas Hunter grabs a microphone from a stagehand and looks toward the Brotherhood.
"Alright, kids! We've established you can attack people after a match, but why not take a crack at Free Radical on Wednesday, huh?" Nick demands. Kairez looks back at Nick and grins.
"A handicap match? You're on!" Kairez spits. AJ snatches the microphone from Nick and points to Kairez.
"You're forgetting about ME!" AJ responds, slinging his title belt over his shoulder.
Match 5: MWL World Lightweight Championship - Ladder: (C) Alex DuVry v. Maverick Miller
- Maverick Miller climbed the ladder and retrieved the belt at 4:16 to win the MWL World Lightweight Championship.
As Maverick Miller celebrates his victory, he gradually looks downward and realizes exactly where he is. He tries to correct his balance, instead throwing it off. The ladder tilts to the side, away from Alex DuVry. Maverick falls from the rung he is perched on and lands neck-first on the top rope, dropping the MWL World Lightweight Championship to the mat. Alex looks toward it and grins. He weakly grabs the title belt and slides out of the ring, making his way up the ramp. He pauses to turn back toward the ring and Maverick to "celebrate".
Alex disappears backstage, followed not long after by Maverick Miller, and the arena lights begin flashing wildly. A mechanical whirring is heard, drawing the crowd's attention upward where they see, above the ring, being lowered, the Hell in a Cell...
Match 6: "I Quit!" - Yugo Ryan v. Catastrophe
- Catastrophe forced Yugo Ryan to quit the match with a surfboard hold at 21:08.
Yugo lays limply in the ring while Catastrophe steps into the area between the cell wall and the ring apron, reaching under the ring and pulling out two chairs, which he promptly slides into the ring. He sets one in the middle of the ring before pulling Yugo to his feet. He lifts him onto his shoulders and hits the Tilt-A-Whirl Knockout, face-first, onto the chair. Catastrophe stands and grabs the other chair before lifting it up and bringing it down onto Yugo's skull. Catastrophe grabs a microphone and looks into the camera.
"Fellow members of the X, hear my warning. This is where the war begins. Choose your sides, and know this: siding with the worthless leader that is Yugo will result in..." Catastrophe pauses, looking back to the mess that is Yugo. "...A similar fate, ha ha." Catastrophe drops the microphone and steps out of the cell as medics attend to Yugo.
Main Event: MWL World Heavyweight Championship - (C) Jim Norris v. Shane Warner
- Jim Norris forced Shane Warner to submit to a surfboard hold at 9:19 to retain the MWL World Heavyweight Championship.
As the closing bell rings, Jim Norris drapes the MWL World Heavyweight Championship belt over his shoulder, and extends his hand down to Shane Warner. Shane looks up at Jim and smiles, taking his hand. Jim pulls him to his feet and the two shake hands as the night fades to a close.
