The camera fades in to the cafeteria for the second week straight where, at the whiteboard, stand Shane Warner, Sarah Alyssa, and Michael Jamborgh. Shane is standing with his clipboard at eye level, while scanning the eight participants in the night's qualifiers, as well as the winners of last week's.
"Alright, folks, tonight is the last night for this year's tournament qualifiers, and first up is AJ and Nick versus Alex and Kouryuu, then Lino and David versus Yugo and Viper..." Shane states, while both Yugo and Viper scoff at each other.
"...After the qualifiers are finished, all winners meet back here, and we'll determine our placements in the actual tournament. Dismissed!"
Match 1: Dead Heat Tournament Qualifier - Anthony Jacobs & Nicholas Hunter v. Alex DuVry & Kouryuu
- Alex DuVry pinned Nicholas Hunter after a neckbreaker at 8:48 to qualify his team for the Dead Heat Tournament 2008.
Match 2: Dead Heat Tournament Qualifier - Lino & David Hitz v. Yugo Ryan & Viper
- Yugo Ryan pinned Lino after reversing a diving elbow drop at 11:16 to qualify his team for the Dead Heat Tournament 2008.
"Alright, we'll draw numbers for Yugo and Viper when they get here, but for now, there are eight numbers in the box, when I call your name, please step forward, and draw a number. Jarvick! You're up first!" Shane barks. Jarvick approaches and draws his number.
"Ha! I'm number four, baby!" Jarvick grins, showing Shane the number.
"Ah...huh. Sarah, Jarvick's four." Shane repeats. "Red Norton." Red stands and approaches, drawing his number and showing it to Shane. "Five!" Shane relays. "Allan Martel!" Allan approaches and reaches into the box.
"Number three." Allan states, looking to Jarvick. "Australia versus Canadia. Should be good."
"Canada." Sarah corrects, Michael raises a hand in response.
"Don't...just don't bother." Michael sighs.
"Oh, lookie! I'm next!" Shane reaches in. "Number seven! Alright then, Alex DuVry!" Alex stands and mvoes toward the box. He draws his number, then glares at Shane. Then, he looks back to his number, then back to Shane.
"Eight." Alex states. Shane looks at the number, then nods it's confirmation.
"Kour-- Oh! At last, they arrive!" Shane states as Yugo and Viper approach, Yugo's face dripping blood.
"Yugo, what was that mess out there, not tagging out?!" Alex demands.
"Didn't... Gah! Ow... Need to..." Yugo winces. Kouryuu shakes his head and forcibly draws his number.
"One." Kouryuu states.
"Yugo, you're--" Shane begins, eying Yugo, who is still dripping blood. "...Stuck with whatever Viper doesn't draw. Viper?" Shane calls. Viper approaches and draw his number.
"Six." Viper states.
"Which leaves Yugo at spot number two. Alright folks, the positions are set, we'll see you next week for the tournament quarter-finals!" Shane states. "Dismissed!"
Match 3: Maverick Miller v. Scott Froelich
- Scott Froelich pinned Maverick Miller after a Mad Drive at 8:30.
Match 4: TLC - Canada's Best v. Asian Persuasion
- Christopher Martel pinned Kentan with a roll-up at 6:40
Match 5: MWL-CAW Championship - (C) Magnum v. Kairez
- Kairez pinned Magnum after a Smoke and Mirrors at 9:50 to win the MWL-CAW Championship.
