Brandon Dubaine & Jaysun Legend (w/ Karma) v. Lunatic Fringe
Loads of high flying, as expected. But what was not expected was how well Legend and Dubaine would work together. They were working as a team just as much as the Fringe was. So, with both teams working so well together, it was really hard to see who was going to win this one. This was a real even match, to say the least. Another unexpected thing was the role that Karma had in this match. At different times in the match, one of the members would dive out of the ring trying to hit her, with Evan missing all of his and Scott hitting once, and then Karma came into play, beating on the Fringe, weakening both members. The finish sees the Fringe's legal man Evan dropkicking Brandon, only to turn around and eat a hard clothesline from the other legal man Legend for the 3 count. Now that was a good match to start off Meltdown.
WINNERS: Brandon Dubaine & Jaysun Legend w/Karma
Catastrophe v. CRUSHER
Going from high flying to hard hitting. Of course, Catastrophe was using his dirty tricks from the get go, but Crusher fought out of those rather well. Let me say, dirty tactics mean squat when facing off against a Rampage. That didn't stop Catastrophe from trying though. But Crusher was obviously the better with grappling, so dirty was the only thing that Catastrophe had to fall back on. But not even that stopped Crusher. The finish sees Crusher hitting a Spiral Bomb, followed by a Big Swing, to which he climbs the top rope and hits a Foot Stamp, Rampages, and pins for the 3.
WINNER: Crusher
Kings of Hardcore v. Moonlight Army
One powerhouse and one highflyer on each team. Yet they both worked so well together. You wouldn't know it though, cause the first part of the match was all Kings. But once Chaser was able to knock Warren down and hit a 450 splash, the Army started to build some momentum. Kings were quick to putting it down, but after the Army had some momentum, the match quickly became even. Of course, we can never forget the occasional four man ringside brawl, to help weaken the other team. Not to mention all the double teams. Finish sees Renegade hitting a Leap of Faith on Mark and covering for the 3 count.
WINNERS: Kings of Hardcore
JC Malicious v. Deathblade
Deathblade was obviously pissed he didn't win the AWF World title last week, because as soon as the bell rang, he pummeled JC. JC didn't just take it however, as he was able to knock the big man down with a variety of kicks and punches. But it was going to take a lot more then that to get a victory against Deathblade. The big man just layed into JC, finally ending it with a Chokeslam.
WINNER: Deathblade
Norton Brothers & Lino v. LowKo, D-Roc, & Nick Jones
Starts out with the Nortons beating on LowKo, but that didn't last too long. After LowKo throws Spike out of the ring, we have ourselves a six man brawl. Once order was restored, LowKo tagged in D-Roc, who was pretty even against Spike. D-Roc almost got the win after hitting the Head Shake & Leg Drop, but Lino broke it up just in time. Spike leaves the ring, more six man brawl. And I have to note, the LowKo, D-Roc, Jones team did not really work together well. During the brawls, they were hitting each other just as much as they were hitting their opponents. But Nick was able to keep Spike outside of the ring long enough for D-Roc to get in the ring and get the countout victory.
WINNERS by countout: LowKo, D-Roc, and Nick Jones
Mikey Malicious v. Osiris
Another hard hitting match, with plenty of power moves on both sides. Pretty even all the way through. Otherwise, there is not much to note for this one. Finish sees a bloody Mikey get put into a Boston Crab by a just as bloody Osiris and Mikey taps.
WINNER: Osiris
Main Event Non-title:Yugo Ryan (w/ Melissa Rez) v. CK Malicious
Now here was another match that was really even. CK was still bitter over not getting a title shot, so he wanted to prove that he deserved one, and Yugo wanted to prove that CK didn't deserve one. Yugo was pulling out all of his dirty moves in order to prove that point. But CK wasn't going to be put down by some dirty moves, reversing a good portion of the regular moves that Yugo tried. Yugo in return did the same to CK. CK came close when he hit a frog splash, but Yugo had a rope break. Soon after, CK stole Yugo's Jackknife Powerbomb for the win.
WINNER: CK Malicious
