The camera fades in to Michael Jamborgh's office, where he is sitting behind his desk, arms folded. "Ladies and gentlemen, MWL's greatest night of the year is fast approaching. At Stage of Legends, Yugo and Viper will clash, one-on-one, for the first time ever, and not only that, but they will meet in the Hell in a Cell, and even better, the MWL World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line. In the match before that, SYN will defend the MWL World Tag Team Championship in an HT5 match against the teams of Free Radical and the Asian Persuasion! So, to ready some of the competitors for these two matches, they will be competing in a six-man tag team match tonight." Michael grins before continuing.
"Also, at Stage of Legends is the return of the Lightweight Showcase, and as a special preview for MWL's newer fans, we've scheduled two members from each team to face off tonight in a standard tag team match. Plus, we've got a triple threat match for the MWL World Lightweight Championship where the champion, Christopher Martel, will defend against challengers Alex DuVry and Chad Vritska. Now then, ladies and gentlemen, enjoy our opening contest!" Michael announces as the camera fades to the arena.
Match 1: Jarvick Redrock v. Red Norton (Click for video)
- Red Norton pinned Jarvick Redrock after reversing a fireman's carry into a DDT at 12:33.
The camera fades to a hallway backstage where Levithan is walking. After a moment, a chair strikes him in the back. The camera pulls back to show that it is Kouryuu, who raises the chair overhead for another swing, before the chair is yanked from his hands. He looks to see Anthony Jacobs and Kairez behind him, with Sarah Alyssa at their side as Levithan begins to push himself to his feet.
"You feel the need to attack your own former tag team partner backstage? Fine. Then after the next match, the two of you will be competing in a first blood match. Have fun." Sarah states, almost mockingly, as the four of them make their exit, leaving Kouryuu behind.
Match 2: Spike Norton & Scott Froelich v. Byakko & David Hitz (Click for video)
- Scott Froelich forced David Hitz to submit with a boston crab at 9:10.
Match 3: First Blood - Kouryuu v. Levithan (Click for video)
- Kouryuu forced Levithan to bleed after a series of punches at 19:01.
Match 4: Yugo Ryan & SYN v. Viper & Free Radical (Click for video)
- Catastrophe pinned Viper after a leg breaker at 11:04.
As Viper lays on the mat, the two teams of SYN and Free Radical spill to ringside and brawl rather chaotically, while Yugo stands over his future opponent. Viper begins to push himself to his feet and once he gets up to one knee, Yugo kicks him in the collar bone, knocking him back down. Yugo rolls out of the ring and grabs a chair, amdist the fighting, and slides back in. He raises the chair high overhead before slamming it down repeatedly onto Viper's skull. After half a dozen strikes, Yugo tosses down the chair and picks Viper up by the hair. After flashing a quick Rock Fist, Yugo hoists Viper up and drops him onto the chair with the Superiority Complex. Yugo slides out of the ring once again before making his way backstage, as SYN breaks up the fighting to do the same.
Nicholas Hunter and Jim Norris proceed to check on Viper before helping him to his feet and out of the ring to go backstage.
Main Event: MWL World Lightweight Championship - (C) Christopher Martel v. Chad Vritska v. Alex DuVry (Click for video)
- Alex DuVry pinned Chad Vritska after a powerbomb at 15:07 to win the MWL World Lightweight Championship.
As his music played through the arena, Alex held the MWL World Lightweight Championship belt up in triumph of his first-ever title reign as the camera cuts backstage, where Yugo Ryan and Melissa Rez are sitting, watching the post-match celebration. Yugo is letting out a faint chuckle.
"I told you the boy had talent..."
