The opening video package winds down, the shot cutting to the hallways backstage. Danny Tieso is seen standing beside Rod Friedman, a wide smirk across his face. Danny raises the microphone to his lips and then begins to speak. "Ladies and gentlemen, Danny Tieso here, with one half of the former MWL Hardcore Tag Champions, and a member of what was once the Silver Age Kings, Rod Friedman. Rod, tonight, Shane Warner has scheduled a ladder match between you and your former partner Justin McIntyre, where the winner goes on to Fallen Rites, one week from tonight, to take part in a triple threat match with Bryan Krash and Vince Marshall for the MWL World Television Championship. What are your thoughts--"
"My thoughts? Really? Do I even need to waste my breath? Look at how many times Justin's tried to take me on." Rod spits.
"A few."
"And how many of those times have I lost?" Rod presses.
"None."
"Exactly. So, tonight, Tieso. Tonight will be just like every other time. I'm going to climb up that ladder, pull down that contract, and at Fallen Rites, I will reclaim the title that's eluded me for two years. You, my friend, are looking at the NEXT. MWL World Television Champion!" With that, Rod Friedman storms out of view as Tieso looks on.
"Let's head to the arena for your opening contest."
