Or... "Domination & Revenge"
Angels, CAW's, jobbers of all ages! Welcome one and welcome all to another installment of "Features we don't really need but that give us an excuse to use in-game functions"! Today we'll be covering our newest feature, dominations and revenges! For those of you out there that play Team Fortress 2, or have been unfortunate enough to sit through my rantings and ravings should already be at least somewhat familiar with the ideas at work, here. Hence, I suspect you folks will have an easier time grasping these ideas than those who have not yet been so (un)lucky.
DOMINATIONS
Have you ever gotten tired of kicking the ever-living, holy, high-hell out of someone with little to no consequence? Those days are over!
Defeating (or assisting in the defeat of) the same opponent three consecutive times will earn you a domination of your target. This only goes in the way of those actually defeated. For example, suppose Osiris has defeated Lino twice prior to encountering him and Trip Acid in a tag team match alongside Jackel. Should Jackel pin Lino, Osiris will be award the domination against Lino. However, should Osiris force Trip to submit, as Lino was not defeated, the domination will not be given.
Should the would-be dominated score a fall against the dominator, the count is reset, with the former scoring one fall toward their own domination.
It is possible to dominate more than one person at any given time.
REVENGE
When a CAW or Angel becomes dominated, the dominator becomes their nemesis. Revenges work roughly the same as scoring dominations in that they are awarded for defeating, or assisting in the defeat of, your nemesis. However, revenges only take a single fall to be awarded.
Example. Rad Gnarley scores a domination against Brandon Dubaine. From here on, should Brandon ever score a fall against Rad, Brandon will be awarded a revenge. However, should Rad only score two falls before falling to Brandon, a revenge will not be awarded as a domination never occurred.
It is possible to be dominated by more than one person at any given time, and even to be dominated by up to three opponents through a single match.
TRIPLE THREATS & FOUR-WAY DANCES
Due to the free-for-all nature of triple threat and four-way dances, dominations and revenges can only be scored through direct interaction via falls.
Osiris, Lino, and Kouga Shuko are placed in a triple threat match, with Lino holding two wins over Shuko going in. If Shuko pins Osiris, Lino retains his two falls over Shuko for their next encounter. If Lino pins Osiris, he does not dominate Shuko. If Lino does pin Shuko, however, the domination is awarded.
THE CONSEQUENCES OF DOMINATION
When a CAW/Angel scores a domination, naturally, the dominated will seek to get their revenge. And as such, they will look to cost their nemesis a match...
This is where the "WWE Rivals" function comes in. When you score a domination against an opponent, they will be added to your CAW's "Rivals" list under "enemy". The first dominated will be placed in the #1 spot, second in #2, and so on until all slots are filled, at which point, a queue will be set in place via a post to be made later on here on the boards.
To this end, your opponents may make an appearance during your matches to cost you the win. Should an opponent interfere in a match which you lose, the opponent will score a revenge. Afterwards, they will be removed from the Rivals list, and all remaining opponents will be moved up, with the first in queue taking slot #5. This method of revenge is negated, however, when an ally makes an appearance to deal with the opponent at ringside.
ALLIES
Due to the potential method of revenge through interference, it may be in your best interest to forge alliances with other CAW's before it is too late. To ally yourself with others, after some form of setup, generally through a promo, contact myself or Spaz with the update. Should the request come out of the blue with no setup, it may not be enacted, so make sure to do a proper setup, children!
Stablemates will not be automatically entered, so make sure to request them. Also, allies will be placed beginning from the #5 spot and moving upward, with a queue forming with any overflow. Should an ally appear at ringside following the arrival of an opponent, a revenge will not be awarded on a loss.
LOOSE ENDS
Wins and losses awarded as the result of certain match-types and stipulations will not count toward either dominations or revenges. The listing here may change without warning, so check back every so often.
The following will not count toward dominations or revenges: ladder, steel cage (escape), first blood, any over-the-top-rope elimination match, inferno, table, TLC.
CONCLUSION
Well children, this has been another lecture from yours truly, the Phenomenal AJ Riles. Get out there, dominate, and try not to get dominated! And with that, I'm off!
"Riley, at least take the backup parachute!"
THERE'S PROBABLY NO TIME!
