As the special, once-a-year holiday-themed opening video package winds down, the camera fades into the arena to show Kouryuu standing in the ring, a microphone in hand. "Ladies and gentlemen, as part of my prize for the Dead Heat Tournament, I won two things. The ability to determine the next challengers for every title in MWL, and to hand-select the participants in this year's Good Saint Mike event, which we have finally come to on this night!" Kouryuu shouts, drawing a deafening roar from the crowd.
"So now then, allow me to reveal to you, tonight's participants." Kouryuu states. The video wall lights up, showing the bracket for the evening's event. "In the first qualifier we have, on Team Red, Shane Warner, Alex DuVry, and Chad Vritska, facing the members of Team Green, Yugo Ryan, David Hitz, and Jim Norris. In our second qualifiying contest, Team Red's Tiananman, Viper, and my old friend Levithan will face Team Green's Catastrophe, Kairez, and my ACTUAL friend, Byakko." Kouryuu states, gesturing to the brackets. "And then, exactly as it went in 2007 and 2008, the winning members from the two qualifiers will compete in a six-man elimination match for the prize, a title match for the title of their choosing, at any time they please, under any stipulations before the next year's Good Saint Mike." The crowd roars again as Kouryuu raises a hand to silence the fans.
"Now, now, I'm not finished. In additon to all this, I am using my other prize to determine number-one contenders to the MWL World Tag Team Championship. Between the qualifiers and the final, there will be a tag match between the Nortons and Canada's Best. The winning team will go on to the main event, TONIGHT, to face Cornerstone for the tag titles." Kouryuu states, grinning. "And now, with the card laid out for you, I will be taking my leave." Kouryuu states, climbing through the ring ropes and making his exit up the entryway, disappearing behind the curtain to a deafening roar one more time.
Match 1: Good Saint Mike 2009 - Team Red (Shane Warner, Alex DuVry, & Chad Vritska) v. Team Green (Yugo Ryan, David Hitz, & Jim Norris)
- Chad Vritska pinned Yugo Ryan with a roll-up at 21:02.
- Alex DuVry pinned Jim Norris after a huracanrana at 28:21.
- Alex DuVry pinned David Hitz after the Space Trip Step at 37:01.

- Kairez pinned Levithan after the Original Sin at 37:34.
- Kairez pinned Viper after the Smoke & Mirrors at 38:51.
Match 3: World Tag Team Contendership - Norton Brothers v. Canada's Best
- Red Norton pinned Christoher Martel after a shoulder block at 26:03 to compete for the MWL World Tag Team Championship.
Match 4: Good Saint Mike 2009 Final - Shane Warner v. Alex DuVry v. Chad Vritska v. Byakko v. Catastrophe v. Kairez
- Shane Warner pinned Byakko after the Big Brother at 4:16.
- Chad Vritska pinned Alex DuVry after a german suplex from Kairez at 9:58.
- Chad Vritska pinned Shane Warner with a sunset flip at 10:24.
- Chad Vritska pinned Kairez after a leg trip at 12:16.
- Chad Vritska pinned Catastrophe after a shin breaker at 11:54 to win Good Saint Mike 2009.
As the closing bell rings, Chad Vritska leaps onto the middle turnbuckle and props one foot on the top rope, gesturing out to the crowd before dropping down to ringside, landing with a thud as he strikes a pose, standing back upright and raising his fists in triumph as he backs up the entryway, a spray of confetti and fireworks celebrating with him as he reaches the stage and poses once more before disappearing behind the curtain.

- Spike Norton pinned Lucas Reinhardt with a small package at 33:20 to win the MWL World Tag Team Championship.
