As the opening video package winds down, the image fades in to that of CTHD's locker room. One figure is visible, Kouryuu, who is speaking to another, who is offscreen. "I see. So, you want to be the one I choose to compete for Shane's title?" Kouryuu asks. There is a brief silence.
"Alright, then. Tonight, you have your opportunity. You'll be in the main event. You'd do well to not screw this up." Kouryuu states. The sound of a chair being pushed out is heard as footsteps approach the door. The door opens and closes, as Kouryuu grins.
Match 1: Yugo Ryan v. Lucas Reinhardt
- Lucas Reinhardt pinned Yugo Ryan after a necklock slam at 14:36.
As the closing bell rings, Lucas slides out of the ring and grabs his half of the MWL World Tag Team Championship, making his way up the ramp. He pauses at the top for a brief shuffle, ecstatic at his win over the former World Heavyweight Champion. Lucas stands on the stage for a moment after, then thrusts his hand into the air, holding his title belt high.
Match 2: Kairez v. Viper
- Kairez pinned Viper after a belly-to-back suplex at 33:07.
Match 3: Canada's Best v. Countdown Trigger
- David Hitz pinned Allan Martel with a roll-up at 29:43.
The camera fades to a shot backstage, where Kouryuu is walking with Byakko, approaching Michael Jamborgh's office. "Kouryuu, Kouryuu!" The voice of Stevan Corber shouts. Kouryuu pauses, just outside Michael's door, and turns to face the interviewer.
"What do you want, Stevan?" Kouryuu demands.
"Just a moment of your time!" Stevan pants, finally catching up with him.
"Please make it fast, eh? I've got to talk with Michael." Kouryuu states.
"So, Kouryuu, you won the Dead Heat 2009 tournament, and can now select the next challengers for every single title in MWL. It would seem that tonight, you've chosen the challenger for the World Heavyweight Championship, who is the challenger?"
"Stevan, the identity of Shane's challenger for this evening is between him and myself, and in a moment, Michael too. I'll tell you one person it's not, though." Kouryuu grins as Stevan leans in. "...Shane Warner."
Stevan's eyes narrow as Kouryuu opens the door and steps into Michael's office, latching the door behind him. Stevan turns to Byakko and hangs his head. "You know, I really should've expected that."
"Yeah, you should've."
Match 4: Jarvick Redrock v. Nicholas Hunter
- Nicholas Hunter pinned Jarvick Redrock after an arm wringer flip at 16:47.
Main Event: MWL World Heavyweight Championship - (C) Shane Warner v. ?????
As Shane Warner stands in the ring, grinning, knowing he has the members of NEX-GEN on backup, the announcer begins.
"And introducing the challenger, weighing in at two hundred and forty-eight pounds, from Fort Wayne, Indiana, 'the Hazard' Anthony Jacobs!"
- Anthony Jacobs pinned Shane Warner after a series of stomps at 10:18 to win the MWL World Heavyweight Championship.
As the closing bell rings, Anthony Jacobs takes his newly won title belt from the referee and climbs onto the middle turnbuckle, holding the title up before the crowd as a confused hush washes over the audience. Shane Warner pushes himself to his feet and approaches AJ, yanking him down from his perch, screaming at him.
"What the hell?! I thought we were a team!" Shane spat.
"You brought this on yourself, 'boss'. You promised me a title shot if I joined you, and yet you've dodged me every time I requested it. Count yourself lucky I only pinned you!" AJ states, walking past Shane and making sure to slam into his shoulder as he goes. AJ climbs out of the ring and makes his exit up the entryway as Shane continues yelling.
"I'm not through with you, AJ! Get back here!" Shane shouts, as AJ continues on, ignoring him. AJ pauses at the top of the ramp and looks over his shoulder as the show fades to a close...
