Greetings, everyone! It's time to explain the Talent Exchange program! So, sit tight while the Phenomenal One guides you through the journey, eh?
First, you may have noticed the category at the bottom of the boards called the "Talent Exchange". Primarily, this is for people who run e-Feds of their own, seperate from AWF, and want to try and get their stuff out there. Generally, these promotions use characters separate from AWF. Well, we're giving some of these characters the opportunity to step into the AWF ring! Formulas for Talent Exchange CAWs are to be placed in the "Talent Exchange" sub-board of the "Roster" board. However, one-shot Talent Exchange CAWs may have their formula sent to the simmer.
Talent Exchange CAWs are subject to the same rules as any normal AWF character. That is, the will receive a Premium Stat Pack, must weigh in at UNDER 280 lbs. However, as they are not part of the normal roster, they are not obligated to be booked at shows, unless a request involving the character was made.
Let's say that Brandon Dubaine challenge Jim Norris to a match at the next Meltdown. If possible, the match will be scheduled. This also works if Jim Norris were to challenge Brandon Dubaine to a match.
On the subject of differences between AWF and Talent Exchange characters, members of the Talent Exchange may only be active in AWF for a short time frame, with the maximum being four weeks (28 days). The beginning and release dates of any Talent Exchange CAW MUST BE SPECIFIED IN THE FORMULA. There is one exception to the release date, however. That is that if a part of the Talent Exchange captures a championship during their AWF tenure, they may either remain to defend the title until they lose it, at which point, they will be released, or they may vacate their title on the date of their release.
After a one-month period, a previously released part of the Talent Exchange may return to AWF's roster. Using Jim Norris as an example again, as his release date is scheduled for June 5, 2008, then barring any championship acquisitions, as of July 5, 2008, he could be brought back in. However, take note, that only one active CAW from each Talent Exchange promotion is allowed at a time. So, two MWL CAWs may not be in AWF simultaneously, unless they are on the regular roster.
As a final note: championships from promotions in the Talent Exchange Program may not be defended in AWF without bringing the matter up with the administration beforehand. And any AWF championships held by parts of the Talent Exchange may not be defended outside of AWF without bringing the matt up with the administration beforehand.
That said, Atlantic Wrestling Federation has an active talent exchange with the following promotions:
Machinima Wrestling League
Extreme Wrestling Alliance
American Gauntlet Wrestling
