Making it "official" (Jennifer Faerkaine, Misfitt)

[DARKSIDE]

The camera fades in to show the skillfully repaired front door to GM Dubaine's office. Some voices can be heard inside in some sort of discussion. After a few moments, the door opens and Angel slinks out of the office...with the AWF Angels title draped over her shoulder! The crowd can be heard cheering and gasping at the same time, unsure what to think.

The camera follows Angel down the hallways as she makes her way toward the arena entrance. She walks over to a sound tech and whispers something in his ear. He nods and acts sort of shy when Angel pinches his cheek and gives it a quick slap as she walks away with a smile.

The arena is buzzing with anticipation and suddenly, the dead air in the arena is shredded as "Mistress Of Pain" erupts through the PA system. No pyro this time as Angel just walks with a purpose down to the ring, still taking a moment or two to wink and wave and flirt with the fans. She rolls in under the ropes, springs to her feet and holds the title up high...maybe for the last time. Minion is seen crawling out from under the ring and he climbs in to join Angel inside the ring. Angel grabs a mic from the ringside attendant, does her usual flirty "thanks" routine with him and goes back to Minion's side.......

So, I guess the "big boys" in the front office didn't like my idea of giving Jennifer a 2 out of 3 falls trail period before sticking her in my face for the title. Hmmphh...well, I guess this was all meant to be. The fates work in very confusing ways sometimes.

Losing to Jennifer last night wasn't a total....loss. **giggle** She gave me new hope for this division, actually. She showed me in her actions and in her desire just how hungry she was. She gave the best fight I've had since coming here....and while I don't have to like that....I damn sure gotta RESPECT it! It must take a lot to keep me down, and Faerkaine worked her ass off to get the job done. Best of luck to her as champion, since she'll now have to deal with Misfitt and get just as sick of her as I have! **giggle**

She truly does deserve this belt.....and I came out here tonight to officially hand it over to her as a gesture of sportsmanship and honor![/b]

The crowd almost falls silent with Angel's announcement, but she just looks up from the mic and nods to the crowd to ensure them it's the right thing to do.

So now, if you'll humor me one last time....Jennifer Faerkaine....bring that hot little ass of yours down here and claim that which you have earned![/b]

Lacuna Coil's "Devoted" hits the speakers like a ten ton hammer as the lights dim to announce the appearance of Jennifer Faerkaine. The younger sister of AWF superstar Freaky slides into the ring, having retrieved a microphone from a stage hand.

"I could come down here and rub how I beat you twice in a row into that plaster white face of yours, or give the stereotypical 'now that I've got this belt you'll never get it back blah blah blah' speech, but I'm not going to. You know why? Not worth it. Not worth it in the least. So Angel, just give me the title, we'll call it a day, and get on with our lives."

Oh really?

You don't think I'm worth your time? Me coming down here, being a good sport and all....trying to let this transition pass as quick and painlessly as possible. Not good enough for you? You really are a sorry piece of trash, Faerkaine. Ya know what?[/b]

Angel hands the belt to Minion, who takes it and then ducks out of the ring....sitting down on the floor by the announce table.

You want me to make this more "worth your time"? Okay then...congratulations! You now have a REAL purpose for coming out here. Just....make sure before you come down to this ring that you pull your head out of your ass, sweetie. I'm gonna replace it with MY FOOT!

You could have just walked down and claimed your belt, but now....it's time to say "good bye"! I'm invoking my rematch clause...right NOW.....TONIGHT!![/b]

Jennifer sighed, blowing some of her hair out of her face. "Why don't YOU take a step back and look at the fine print of your contract more closely sister. The rules say that unless a champion gives consent, titles can only be defended at Pay Per Views. And guess what? I'm not giving consent. Looks like you're stuck waiting for Heatstroke. And know what that also means? It means Misfitt isn't going away either. You've just made this a three way dance. So it looks like at Heatstroke it'll be me, you, and Misfitt in the ring at one time."

That was a prospect the crowd definitely was in favor of. Three hot girls going at it in the ring? Every guy in the crowd won. "One last thing. Tell that 'brother' of yours to give me back my title. Because the board of directors does not smile upon those who deny a champion the title that is rightfully theres."

Wow. Okay then. Usually, the former champion has the right to cash in their rematch any time, but since you have apparently done some high-profile pole smoking in the past few days....well, I guess it will just have to wait now. Guess you had to do whatever you had to in order to say you weren't the biggest joke in this division. All completely unnecessary, by the way. The biggest joke around here is that case of herpes who just became #1 contender. **giggle**

Ya know...I hope Misiftt actually pins you at Heatstroke, just to prove how worthless you are....as a champion....as a member of this division...and as person in general.

Misfitt coud never beat me for the title and you beat me when I wasn't even 100%. You have nothing to be proud of, deary! And after Heatstroke...you won't have anything to show for it, either![/b]

Angel motions to Minion to come into the ring. They stand together and Angel lays the championship on the mat. Minion wraps his arms around Angel and the lights go out. Seconds later, the ringposts explode in towers of orange flame. The lights come back on and the ring is now empty. Only the belt remains, lying exactly where Angel left it.....
