As the opening pyros for Meltdown cease, "Mental" plays through the arena and Frank Dubaine appears on the stage, carrying a briefcase in his hand. The big man walks up the steps and steps through the ropes of the ring and up to a podium that had been set up before he got down to the ring. He sat the briefcase down on the podium and took out a microphone.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I sincerely hope you all enjoyed Blackout." The crowd cheered in approval. "That's good to hear. What I have in this briefcase is in direct relationship with one of those matches." Frank opened up the briefcase to show that inside was the United States Title belt.
"As you all know, CK Malicious pinned Lino at Blackout to win the United States Title. Immediately after the match, CK went to the medical room complaining of a pain in his leg. It seems that at some point during the match, CK tore a muscle in his leg. And with such a serious injury, he has been put on the sidelines for an indefinite amount of time. Because of that, I had no choice but to vacate the United States title." The crowd began to boo and insult Frank. "Now before you begin to demonize me, I was not going to let a man who could be on the sidelines for months hold onto a title. Now CK's reign is still recognized by AWF and because of the circumstances surrounding the title vacation, he will be granted a rematch upon his return to active competition."
The crowd cheered more, "That being said, this coming Collision there will be a Four Way Match with four men of my choosing to compete for the United States Title. And who are those men? Well, you'll have to wait for Collision to find out."
William James (Debut) vs Warren Peace
William James came out swinging, and he didn't give Warren any rest. He just kept the offense coming, and hitting a Widow's Peak to finish him off, all within record time, a little over a minute and a half long.
WINNER: William James
"Slayer" Bryan (Debut) vs Chaser
All this really was was a extended squash, with Chaser taking a lot of punishment, but countered pin attempts a good amount of the time. But after taking 3 Swinging Side Slams and then a Shining Wizard, he just couldn't go on.
WINNER: Bryan
As Oblivion stomps through the backstage making his way to the ring for his match, there is a loud crack as an aluminum bat swung by an unseen assailant smacks into Oblivion's back. Oblivion crumbles to the floor and as he tries to stand back up the back cracks over the back of his head, causing his blood to run down his temples and checks. The only thing of the assailant that can be seen is a black and yellow boot, which is seen when the attacker moves around and pokes Oblivion with the tip of the bat. The unseen man, confident with his work, walks off leaving Oblivion bloody in the hallway.
Oblivion vs Brandon Malicious vs Antony Jacobs
With Oblivion being taken out by some unknown assaliant, this match just turned into a one on one match. These two despite not what they were planning, had a good back and forth match. Brandon almost won it after hitting the Mic Check, but only got a 2 count. But later on he flew and nailed Jacobs with a Frog Slash for the win.
WINNER: Brandon Malicious
Freaky & Trip Acid vs The Oriental Express
Both teams want a shot at the tag titles. But the Express wanted their shots first. But then comes match time, and the Express just seem to be out of it. Freaky was in for the entire time for his team, and Blade was in for his. Freaky just took it to Blade, and after taking a Punt Kick, Blade was out. Freaky pinned while Trip Acid made Machine fall of the apron.
WINNERS: Freaky & Trip Acid
Angels Tag Match: Melissa Rez & Kitten Miller vs Shelby Danes & Jennifer Faerkaine
Good back and forth match, with both teams working well together. Match ended after Melissa took two Edgecutions from Jennifer and Shelby keeping Kitten away from the pinfall.
WINNERS: Shelby Danes & Jennifer Faerkaine
Angels Singles Non-Title: Angel vs Misfitt
Here we go, as these two lock horns once again. And it looks like every time these two face each other, Misfitt just gets better at fighting Angel. This time around Misfitt got so much more offense in against Angel then she ever had before. But the result was still the same, and Angel hits a Original Sin for the win.
WINNER: Angel
Tank, Xplizit & Daniel Saviors vs La Familia (JC, Mikey, & Dante)
A very good 6 man tag match, with both teams working pretty well together. JC and Dante were in trouble quiet a few times, taking a good number of finishers. In fact, Mikey saves them from being pinned after JC took two Spears from Daniel, and Dante took a Swanton and a Spear from Daniels and two Powerbombs from Tank, although those were rope breaks, as well as a Hurracrana/Powerbomb tag finisher executed by Xplizit and Daniels. The Family had there moments as well, with JC getting two Wolfsbanes on Daniel, but with Xplizit breaking it up. The end came with Tank getting his Powerbomb finisher on JC with auto pin and Xplizit and Daniel made sure Dante and Mikey were not around to break the pin.
WINNERS: Tank, Xplizit & Daniel Saviors
Lino vs Brandon Mac
These two are pretty familiar with each other, trading the US title between each other last year. And it shows, with the countering with these guys was happening a lot. Lino was able to hit the 99 Crusher, but Mac to his surprise was able to kick out. This seemed to fuel Lino, as he seemed to up his intensity, and was able to pin Mac after a running neckbreaker.
WINNER: Lino
Jaysun Legend vs Carnivore
Legend just wasn't on his game tonight. He was able to fight back, true, but Carnivore was just doing much better. Legend was able to take one Vile Driver, but another one put him away.
WINNER: Carnivore
Non-Title: Reaper Killer & Minion vs The Apokalypse
Wow, RK just got pwned by Klown. Jester and Minion didn't get in at all, and Klown just pounded into RK, hitting a Punchline, which RK kicked out of, and later on he used the Power of the Punch finisher, which busted RK open and Jester kept Minion out of the match completely while Klown made the pin.
WINNERS: The Apokalypse
Christian Pryce vs Osiris
Let the battle of opposites commence. And battle they did, with one taking a shot, then firing right back with a shot of their own. It came down to a wire, with them being pretty much dead even with each other. But Osiris hit his Eternal Damnation first, and Pryce couldn't take anything more.
WINNER: Osiris
Non-Title: Yugo Ryan vs Scott Manor
Yugo pretty much dominated the beginning of the match, even hitting a Superiority Complex, but that only got a 2 count. Scott started showing signs of life after that, but it didn't seem to be enough to help because Yugo was able to hit another Superiority Complex, but Manor countered the pin attempt. But then Yugo hit's a 3rd Superiority Complex, and Manor just couldn't go any more.
WINNER: Yugo Ryan
