The AWF screen appears at the start of Monday Night Meltdown. As the logo appears on the screen, the music begins to become distorted. The image gets blurred and static ensues. At that moment, Megadeth's "Countdown To Extinction" plays on the screen. As the pyro goes off, the image and shows the camera inside the SIN locker room. The camera turns to show The Apokalypse sitting behind a table with the AWF Tag Team titles directly in from of them. Just then the voice of Nemesis is heard from behind the camera.
"Ok Babe, were rolling!"
Nemesis then gets on camera and sits on Klowns lap. After she gets comfortable, Klown begins.
"Welcome everyone to "Countdown to Extinction" We are your hosts, Klown and Jester.."
Nemesis then clears her throat while looking at the camera.
"...and Nemesis."
Nemesis tilts her head and smiles.
"We are here to present the first round matches for the Countdown to Extinction tournament. Who do we have first Jes?"
Without taking his eyes off of the camera he passes a card to Klown.
"Thanks Jes."
Klown lifts up the card.
"First off we have our comrade and brother in arms, Carnivore and his "Partner" Warren Peace taking on the current AWF Champion *Cough*loser*cough* Yugo Ryan and Brandon Mac. This one should be interesting folks, what do you say Jes?"
Still looking into the camera.
"Don't care."
Klown laughs.
"Nice. Ok let's get this started, Nem, any thoughts?"
"I hope Carnivore wins, keeping it in the family."
"You do realize if he wins the tournament he will face us, right?"
Nemesis looks at Klown then back at the camera.
"Blah, he would be better competition anyways."
"Touche sweetheart. Let's get this rolling."
Carnivore & Warren Peace vs Yugo Ryan & Brandon Mac
Man, talk about a reversal fest. Just about every other move was a reversal. Anyway, Carnivore, for whatever reason, decided not to tag in Warren. All Warren was able to do in this match was break up the pins by Brandon and Yugo. Carnivore was doing well by himself, making Yugo limp after hurting his head so much. But the combined efforts of Brandon and Yugo was too much. Yugo was able to use the Superiority Complex and the Osaka Street Cutter, but Warren broke both those up. But Yugo made a Hot Tag to Brandon, who cleaned house and hit his Last Ride finisher and this one was over.
WINNERS: Yugo Ryan & Brandon Mac
The screen comes into see Klown and Jester sitting without Nemesis.
"Well, looks like it wasn't in the cards for Carnivore huh?"
"I blame Peace."
"Yea, me too. Next we have Jason Malicious and *cough*Douche*cough*Lino vs Reaper Killer and Chaser. Jes, what Kind of name is Reaper Killer anyways?"
"A Stupid one."
"This is true. Anyways, let's get rolling with this match. This should be.....well....a match."
Jason Malicious & Lino vs Reaper Killer & Chaser
This one had me seriously doubting who was going to win this. Reaper Killer and Chaser were both hitting their finishers just as much as the bigger men were, and were kicking out of finishers just as much. Chaser nearly had it won after hitting a 619 on Lino, but Jason got in to break it up. Lino in return hit Chaser with a Unprettier, but Chaser kicked out of that. Another Unprettier later though, and the Reaper Killer/Chaser team was out.
WINNERS: Jason Malicious & Lino
The camera fades in to see Nemesis sitting on Klowns lap giggling with one another while Jester is giving a Facepalm. Klown then realizes the camera is one and shoves Nemesis off his lap, causing her to fall out of screen.
"Oh...hehehe...welcome back. So it looks like the X is on a roll with a victory over Reaper Killer and Chaser. Interesting match if I do say so myself, huh Jes?"
"I don't want to be you when Nem wakes up."
"Whatever. Anyways, this brings us to our next match: Xplizit and Deathblade vs Dante Malicious and Jaysun Legend. Is it me Jes or does Legend have an unusually big head?"
"Your head is pretty big itself you know."
"Yea but its a sexy big. Anyways, lets get to the match."
Xplizit & Deathblade vs Dante Malicious & Jaysun Legend
I don't know what was up with this. Either Xplizit really wanted a win, there were some miscommunications between Jaysun and Dante, maybe even both. But Xplizit was just killing, and Deathblade was hardly even in to do much of anything. Xplizit finished Dante off with some Sweet Chin Music and it was over.
WINNERS: Xplizit & Deathblade
The camera fades in to see Jester trying to hold back the laughter as Klown is shown with a bandage over his head with Nemesis sitting on his lap with a shattered 2x4 on the table next to the championship and her other arm out of view. Klown is just moaning immensely as Nemesis begins.
"That was an interesting match, huh Klown."
Klown slowly nods.
"Well, since Klown cannot speak right now, do you want to introduce the next match?"
Jester begins to laugh.
"Nope, you seem to have a good "Grip" on things here, why stop now?"
Klown then swipes at Jester only to have Nemesis's arm shift and Klown grimaces a bit more.
"OK, next we have Anthony Jacobs and Minion vs The leader of SIN, Osiris and......what's his name?"
"Jackel the Jack-off."
"Nice. Hopefully they fair better than Dante and Legend."
Klown utters some words.
"Can....you....PLEASE...get...off...my...balls...now?"
Nemesis raises her arm and Klown let's out a huge sigh of relief.
"OH MY GOD!!!! *Pants* I hope I don't piss blood now."
"Wouldn't be the first time."
Klown just looks at Nemesis while Jester is cracking up.
"Let's get the match started."
Anthony Jacob & Minion vs Osiris & Jackel
Even though Osiris and Jackel hate each other, they worked pretty well as a team, completely dominating Jacobs and not letting Minion in at all. Jackel hit Anthony with his Spinebuster finisher and Osiris kept Minion out while Jackel pinned for the win.
WINNERS: Osiris & Jackel
The camera fades to see Jester's seat occupied by Nemesis and Klown. Still with the bandage over his head, Klown begins.
"Welcome back everyone! We just saw the victory of Osiris and Jack-Off....I mean Jackel. It is shaping up to be a interesting show so far huh Nem?"
"You are right honey. Hopefully Jester comes back with the food soon. I am hungry."
"He will be here soon babe. Now. Next up is Daniel Saviors and Chaos vs Brandon Malicious and our other comrade, Oblivion."
Nemesis looks at Klown.
"He doesn't speak much, huh?"
"Not to those who have no reason. Just don't get him started on Ghost Rider....He will talk your fucking FACE off with that shit. Anyways, let's get started."
Daniel Saviors & Chaos vs Brandon Malicious & Oblivion
Nice back and forth match, with no clear idea of who the winner would be. Lots of finishers, but the win went to Brandon and Oblivion after Oblivion hit a Chokeslam on Chaos and Brandon kept Daniel away.
WINNERS: Brandon Malicious & Oblivion
The camera shows Jester, Nemesis and Klown sitting at the table eating Chinese food. Klown looks up as he slurps a noodle through his mask.
"Oh(coughs)...welcome back. So Oblivion advances with Brandon Malicious by his side. Next we have Trip Acid and Freaky*cough*bum*cough* vs Cage and JC Malicious."
"We have to thank Shoto for recommending the restaurant."
"Yes we do."
Klown looks at Nemesis.
"Next time you should be a bit nicer to him."
Nemesis takes a sip of soda.
"He has his dammed lockers back doesn't he?"
"Yea, I suppose so. Anyways, lets get started."
Trip Acid & Freaky vs Cage & JC Malicious
Cage will be feeling this one. JC never got in for much of anything, and Cage was in for the entire time to take everything the pot smoker and the drunk dished out. Cage took not one, not two, but 3 Punt Kicks, one from Trip Acid and two from Freaky, the second one from Freaky being the one that kept him down.
WINNERS: Trip Acid & Freaky
The Camera fades in to see Jester and Klown sitting at the table with Nemesis sitting on Klown's lap.
"There you go folks. Trip and Freaky advance to round two. So as it stands, Round two will put Yugo*loser* Ryan and Brandon Mac vs Jason Malicious and The US Champion Lino*cough*douche*coughs*. Then we have Xplizit and Deathblade vs the Bye contenders, The Hardcore Champion Mikey Malicious and Scott Manor. Second bracket puts Osiris and Jackel vs Brandon Malicious and Oblivion. Then we will have Trip Acid and Freaky*cough*bum*cough* vs the second bye contenders, Reaper and CK Malicious. To all the losers in the group...with the exception of Carnivore, tough luck losers. Go play some handball or something. So with that, Round one of Countdown the Extinction is now over, leaving just 8 teams left. Anything else you guys want to add?"
"No."
"OK, and you Nem?"
"No, I think I am good."
Just then a faint whimpering can be heard in the background.
"I guest Lil Yugo didn't like my form of discipline."
"Yea, not many people can handle that Babe."
Nemesis then puts her hand on Klown's face.
"That is why I love that you can."
"You know it babe."
As they snuggle a bit, Jester looks at them and shakes his head in disgust.
"Will you two STOP already?"
Jester then gets up and heads to the door, muttering under his breath as he leaves.
"Geez, I would rather have Jackel hit me with that fucking sledgehammer again. FUCK!"
The door slams out of camera view as Klown and Nemesis face the camera.
"What a bitch. Anyways, that is it for round one. Stay tuned for round two coming soon. For Jester, this is Klown and Nemesis saying: Fuck off!"
Klown then lifts the remote to the camera and the screen goes black.
"Ok Babe, were rolling!"
